Abstract
This paper presents the results of surveys conducted among the students of the Faculty of Commerce registered in the tourism master program, and had as objective the identification of several issues concerning the relation of interviewed subjects with academic book in the tourism field. In addition to identifying several features of purchasing behaviour, several possible paths of action have been followed, with the goal of making the purchase of specialized books more attractive.
In the last few years, Romanian people in general, and students in particular, have come to think of the bookstore as more than just a place to buy books. The expanded bookstore is appearing: some booksellers offer services not strictly book related (for instance, gift certificates, research services, gift wrapping, book repairs, and various spare time activities).
